On 2 August, Budimex signed a contract with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the Ciepielów ring road construction in a design-and-build delivery method. The 1.6-kilometre-long section will be built in the second quarter of 2027, and the total investment cost is PLN 109 million net. The project is implemented as a part of the extension of the national road no. 79 section from Warsaw to Sandomierz.
The contract signed today covers not only the extension of the existing national road no. 79 section, but also the accompanying technical infrastructure and traffic safety devices. The scope of works includes designing and construction of engineering structures, construction of environmental protection devices, road lighting, pavements and bike routes, bus bays and lighting.
Scope of works:
Budimex has extensive experience in the construction of infrastructure investments. On 19 August 2022, two months ahead of the contractual deadline, the company completed the Smolajny ring road, which is a part of the national road no. 51. It was the first completed ring road implemented under the government’s Program assuming construction of 100 ring roads in 2020–2030.
The Program assumes the construction of one hundred ring roads on the national road network with a total length of around 830 km. The routes will carry a load of 11.5 t per axle and the state has allocated a total of PLN 28 billion for their financing. Budimex is currently building several ring roads under the Programme as a general contractor.
